WEEKEND HOMEWORK
Hi everyone,
In class today we reviewed cell parts. If you missed it I will be uploading those review sheets but they're super important because we will be taking a test on that material. We also took a test today so if you've been absent you should ask Jesse about that.
The homework this (long) weekend is to annotate a new reading that was assigned today and to study for the test coming up.
Have a great weekend everyone.

today we were given work time to complete a checklist with various tasks including:
- Completing/writing a reflection on experiments
- Creating flash cards with vocab from science content
- Annotating "Cell Reading" and writing PD
If you missed today you can get started on the above tasks but make sure to get the checklist from Jesse because you will have to turn it in. We also had meetings that will be crucial to your project so make sure you can get that squared away.

Today in class most of us completed our experiments. We also wrote paragraphs about our scientific phenomena. While I am taking notes for biology, there is a lot of overlap between the biology and engineering assignments. Major goals for the Engineering Biology Project include:
- figuring out what your museum exhibit will look like
- understanding the related science
- creating a rough sketch of your exhibit
- updating your website to include your most recent experiment

Today in class we worked on revising and updating our protocols. If you sent your protocol to Jesse or Mackenzie they will have left you notes on how to improve it.

Some important things to remember when planning scientific experiments:
- Science usually prefers quantitative data (numbers) over qualitative data (words)
- Always create a control (a test group not subject to the variable being tested) to ensure accuracy
